Yuzanso Ryokan is located in Shiga Prefecture in the town of Ogoto
on the largest lake in Japan gLake Biwah.
Shiga Prefecture is blessed with Lake Biwa and developed very early
a unique cultural history in a land where many legends and stories
originated. Yuzanso Ryokan features the theme of gOld Tales of Shiga
Prefecture" that have been passed down from generation to generation.
There is a lot of history in Shiga Prefecture like Buddhist Temples
and Shinto Shrines such as "Ishiyama-dera iTemplejh gMii-dera
iTemplej" "Oomi Shrineh gTaga Main Shrineh, and a gWorld
Cultural Heritageh site on Mt. Hiei-zan gEnryaku-ji Templeh. On
the East side of Lake Biwa there is a beautiful castle gHikone-joh.
In the neighbouring town of Katata in Lake Biwa there is gUkimi-do
(Temple)h one of the 8 best scenic places of Omi (Omi was the old
name of Shiga-ken and surrounding area).
Not only the residence of Shiga-ken visit Ogoto Hot Springs but
many from Kyoto and Osaka also visit this area. They use Ogoto as
their home base to visit the sites in Shiga-ken.

of rooms. There are 2 Japanese style rooms, a Western style
bedroom and an indoor and outdoor bath. One Japanese room
is 12.5 tatami. One Japanese room has a kotatsu,a library
and a mini bar.

œSatoyama Room: Executive Room (A type / B type)
A type suite has two Japanese style rooms,
a western bedroom. One of the Japanese rooms is 12.5 tatami.
The B type room has two Japanese style rooms. Both A and
B rooms have an outdoor bath. a library, a mini bar and
a Kotatsu (a recessed area under the table usually with
a heater for winter comfort)

œ Sanyaso Room: Executive Type Room
has two Japanese style rooms; In the 10 tatami living room
there is a Kotatsu (a recessed area under the table usually
with a heater for winter comfort). This room has an outdoor
Japanese Cedar Bath. There is library with books about Shiga-ken
and a mini bar.

Has two Japanese style rooms; in one of the rooms there
is a Kotatsu (a recessed area under the table usually with
a heater for winter comfort). This room has an indoor bath.

Menfs Main Bath: (Name- BENKEI HIKIZURI GANE) Ladies Main Bath: (Name
? TENNYO NO MAI) Both men and ladies baths have outdoor baths made
form Japanese Cedar. (Hinoki) Also both menfs and womanfs baths have
Whirlpool, and Sauna.
The nature of the hot spring water is alkaline and is clamed to relieve
neuralgia / muscular pain / stiff joints / and poor circulation.

From Meishin Ritto IC; to Biwako Bridge; cross bridge
and go south to Ogoto about 40 minutes
From Meishin Central Kyoto East IC; take Kosei bypass:
About 15 minutes.
By train to Ogoto Station:
From Kyoto Station: JR Kosei Line 20 minutes
From Osaka Station: JR to Kyoto change to JR Kosei
Line about 50 minutes.
From Ogoto Onsen Station to Yuzanso
Ryokan we have a shuttle bus service.
